Marine Harvest U-16 boys soccer team takes part to help the Knights of Columbus.

Marine Harvest has been a proud sponsor of a U-16 boys soccer team here in Campbell River and has been a sponsor since the teams inception when the boys were just 11 years old. These boys are winners both on and off the field and here’s why: each year just before Christmas, coach John Jepson, parents and players from the team and staff from Marine Harvest go door-to-door and collect food and toys for the Knights of Columbus Hamper Drive. The residents of Campbell River are always so generous and as a result the team is able to hand deliver over 100 grocery bags to Hamper Headquarters. The Christmas Hampers are then delivered by the Knights of Columbus to those families in Campbell River that are in need of assistance over the holiday season. John Dawson from the Knights of Columbus was there to accept the donations and help organize the boys to sort all the food and toys into the proper places.  Dave Ashcroft from Marine Harvest then took the young soccer players and their parents to Boston Pizza for what has now become the annual pizza night.
